HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR: REMOVAL
1. PRECAUTION

2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair
3. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD (for Separate Type) Removal
4. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX Removal
5. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD Removal
6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
7. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP Removal
8. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE Removal
9. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY Removal
10. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
11. DRAIN COOLANT (for Engine) Coolant (for Engine)
12. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE
(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to remove the No. 2 radiator hose.
13. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the electric inverter compressor.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.
14. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly from the electric inverter compressor.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.
15. REMOVE ELECTRIC INVERTER COMPRESSOR
(a) Release the green-colored lock and disconnect the connector (A) as shown in the illustration.
CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves when performing the procedures.
NOTICE:
Insulate the connector by sealing it with tape.

(b) Disconnect the connector (B).
(c) Remove the 3 bolts and electric inverter compressor.
