C1201 - Engine Control System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

If a malfunction in the SFI system is detected, the operation of VSC and TR(A)C is prohibited by the fail-safe function. When the signals from the engine are received normally, fail-safe control is canceled.

1. CHECK SFI SYSTEM

(a) Check if an SFI system DTC is output Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes for 2GR-FE, or Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes for 2AR-FE).
