C1581 - Assist Map Number Un-Writing
DESCRIPTION
This DTC will be stored if the power steering ECU assembly determines that the assist map is not written in the ECU.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
If the power steering ECU assembly has been replaced with a new one, perform assist map writing and torque sensor zero point calibration 2AR-FE with Wireless Door Lock.
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ASSIST MAP WRITING
(a) Perform the assist map writing 2AR-FE with Wireless Door Lock.
(b) Check for DTCs 2AR-FE with Wireless Door Lock.
Result
NOTICE:
DTC C1581 is cleared after the assist map is written.

2. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
(a) Check for DTCs Diagnosis System.

3. CHECK RELATED PART (ECM, MAIN BODY ECU AND SKID CONTROL ECU)
(a) Check if any of the parts listed below have been replaced with an incorrect part in the past.
NOTICE:
When removing a related part to check it, be sure to follow the appropriate procedures and precautions.
* Refer to the following procedures to remove the ECM Removal.
* Refer to the following procedures to remove the Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) Removal.
* Refer to the following procedures to remove the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) Removal.
HINT
* DTC C1581 is stored when a part with an incorrect part number is installed for the related parts listed above.
* When DTC C1581 is output when parts have not been exchanged, replace the power steering ECU assembly as it may have an internal malfunction.
