Transmitter Battery (w/o Smart Key System)

DOOR LOCK: TRANSMITTER BATTERY (w/o Smart Key System): REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE TRANSMITTER HOUSING COVER (for Type A)

(a) Using a precision screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pry open the transmitter housing cover.

Do not forcibly pry the cover.

HINT
* Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
* Please work as shown in the figure so as not to drop the button.

2. REMOVE DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER MODULE SET SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Type A)

(a) Using a precision screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the door control transmitter module set sub-assembly from the transmitter housing case.

* Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
* When removing the module, please attention to drop the button.

3. REMOVE TRANSMITTER BATTERY (for Type A)

(a) Twist the coin in the direction of the arrow in the illustration, and remove the transmitter battery cover.





(b) Remove the transmitter battery (lithium battery: CR2016).





NOTICE:
* Do not push the terminals with your finger.
* Do not forcibly pry up the transmitter battery. The terminals may be damaged.
* Do not touch the transmitter battery with wet hands. Water may cause rust.
* Do not touch or move any components inside the transmitter. It may interfere with proper operation.
* When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the electrical transmitter from being damaged.

4. REMOVE TRANSMITTER HOUSING COVER (for Type B)

(a) Using a precision screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pry open the transmitter housing cover.

5. REMOVE DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER MODULE SET SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Type B)

(a) Using a precision screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the door control transmitter module set sub-assembly from the transmitter housing case.

6. REMOVE TRANSMITTER BATTERY (for Type B)

(a) Twist the coin in the direction of the arrow in the illustration, and remove the transmitter battery cover.





(b) Remove the transmitter battery (lithium battery: CR2016).





NOTICE:

7. INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY (for Type A)

(a) Install a transmitter battery (lithium battery: CR2016) with the positive (+) side facing upward, as shown in the illustration.





NOTICE:
* Be careful not to bend the transmitter battery electrode during insertion.
* Keep the transmitter cover interior free of dust and oil.
* When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the electrical transmitter from being damaged.

(b) Install the cover.





8. INSTALL DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER MODULE SET SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Type A)

(a) Install the door control transmitter module set sub-assembly into the transmitter housing case.





9. INSTALL TRANSMITTER HOUSING COVER (for Type A)

(a) Install the transmitter housing cover to the transmitter housing case.





10. INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY (for Type B)

(a) Install a transmitter battery (lithium battery: CR2016) with the positive (+) side facing upward, as shown in the illustration.





NOTICE:
* Be careful not to bend the transmitter battery electrode during insertion.
* Keep the transmitter cover interior free of dust and oil.
* When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the electrical transmitter from being damaged.

(b) Install the cover.





11. INSTALL DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER MODULE SET SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Type B)

(a) Install the door control transmitter module set sub-assembly into the transmitter housing case.





12. INSTALL TRANSMITTER HOUSING COVER (for Type B)

(a) Install the transmitter housing cover to the transmitter housing case.





(b) Check that the transmitter LED illuminates when the switch is pressed.
