Removal

2AR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: THROTTLE BODY: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH

2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH

3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

4. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

6. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the vacuum switching valve assembly from the air cleaner hose.





(b) Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector and 2 wire harness clamps from the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.





(c) Separate the fuel vapor feed hose from the air cleaner hose.





(d) Disconnect the ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover.





(e) Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the air cleaner hose from the throttle with motor body assembly.





(f) Release the 2 clamps and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.





8. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the fuel tube from the clamp.





(b) Disconnect the throttle body connector.

(c) Disconnect the water by-pass hose from the throttle with motor body assembly.





(d) Disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle with motor body assembly.

(e) Remove the 4 bolts and throttle with motor body assembly with fuel tube bracket.





(f) Remove the bolt and fuel tube bracket.





(g) Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
