INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT RELAY - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the E42 daytime running light relay connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- INSPECT PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Exterior Lighting System

2. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the parking brake switch assembly.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY Components

OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (PARKING BRAKE SWITCH CIRCUIT)
