MIRROR (EXT): OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR GLASS: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR

(a) Push the outside part of the outer mirror assembly and tilt it as shown in the illustration.





(b) Apply protective tape as shown in the illustration.

(c) Push the upper part of the mirror surface and tilt it.





(d) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws at the lower part of the outer rear view mirror assembly with cover, and separate the outer mirror.





NOTICE:
Do not pull the outer mirror with excessive force. Doing so may cause the actuator to come off or break the mirror surface.

(e) Push the lower part of the mirror surface and tilt it.





(f) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws at the upper part of the outer rear view mirror assembly with cover, and separate the outer mirror.





NOTICE:
Do not pull the outer mirror with excessive force. Doing so may cause the actuator to come off or break the mirror surface.

(g) Disconnect the 2 connectors to remove the outer mirror.
