Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters

WARNING: To ensure that no electronic components are destroyed during testing:
- Select appropriate measuring range on multimeter before connecting test leads!
- Always observe test conditions and requirements!

NOTES:
- Use Fluke 83 multimeter and the VAG 1527B LED tester for the following checks
- The specifications given are valid for an ambient temperature range between 0 and + 40°C
- If measured values only deviate slightly from specification, clean fester sockets, plugs and measuring cables, then repeat check. Before replacing components, check wiring and connections, particularly in cases where the specification is less than 10 Ohms, repeat the resistance measurement on the component
- To connect the various testers to the Test Box use auxiliary cables from VW 1594 adaptor kit
- The terminal numbering of the vehicle connectors and the Test Box socket numbers are identical




Checking:
- With ignition switched OFF, disconnect harness connector -1- from ECM -2-
- Connect Test Box to wiring harness connector
- Perform checks using the appropriate repair procedure
