Tester, Connecting

Volkswagen offers various testers, for example:

• Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051)

• Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051B)

• Tester (VAS 5051/11A)

• Vehicle Diagnosis and Service System (VAS 5052)

• Diagnosis System (VAS 5053)

The operation of this tester is described in the respective operating instructions.

Connecting the (VAS 5051)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051)

CAUTION!
• During a test drive you must always secure testing and measuring equipment on the back seat.

• Only the passenger may use the equipment during the road test.

- Connect the connector from the (VAS 5051/1) - 2 - or the (VAS 5051/3) to the diagnostic connection.





- Turn on the tester - arrow -.





The tester is ready for use when it is possible to select between the fields/buttons Guided Functions and Guided Fault Finding on the screen.

Depending on equipment and tester version, additional functions may be displayed.

Tester is ready for operation.

- Turn on the ignition.

- Touch a field/button on the display to start desired function.
