1 - ABS control unit -J104-
• Located at hydraulic unit on right side of engine compartment.

2 - ABS hydraulic unit -N55-
• Located in engine compartment, on right side.
The hydraulic unit consists of the following components:
• ABS Hydraulic Pump -V64-
• Brake Pressure Sensor 1 -G201-
• Valve block (contains the in/outlet valves).

3 - Brake pad warning lamp -K32-
• Located in the instrument cluster

4 - ABS warning lamp -K47-
• Located in the instrument cluster

5 - ESP and TCS warning lamp -K155-
• Located in the instrument cluster

6 - Brake system warning lamp -K118-
• Located in the instrument cluster

7 - Brake light switch -F- through 11.05.05
• Includes the Brake Pedal Switch -F47-
• Brake light switch from 11.06.05 location
• Located on the brake pedal

8 - Brake light switch -F- from 11.06.05
• Includes the Brake Pedal Switch -F47-
• Located on the brake master cylinder

9 - TCS and ESP button -E256-
• Located in center console

10 - ESP sensor unit -G419- => [ ESP Sensor Unit ] See Image Below.
• Only on vehicles with ABS/EDL/ASR/ESP
• Located under the right front seat
• Combined with the transverse acceleration sensor, rotation rate sensor and longitudinal acceleration sensor
• Combined in one housing

11 - Diagnostic Connection
• Located under the cover in the driver footwell

12 - Steering angle sender -G85- => [ Steering Angle Sender ] See Image Below.
• Located on steering column between steering wheel and steering column switch

13 - Front right speed sensor -G45- and Front left speed sensor -G47- => [ ABS Component Assembly Overview - Front Axle ] See Image Below.

14 - Wheel bearing housing

15 - Wheel Bearing and hub unit
• The ABS sensor ring is installed in the wheel bearing

16 - Rear right speed sensor -G44- and Rear left speed sensor -G46- => [ ABS Component Assembly Overview - Rear Axle FWD ] See Image Below.

• The ABS sensor ring is installed in the wheel bearing


ESP Sensor Unit






1 - ESP sensor unit -G419- The transverse acceleration sensor, rotation rate sensor and longitudinal acceleration sensor are installed in a housing under the right front seat
• Lateral acceleration sender -G200- Integrated.

• Yaw rate sender -G202- Integrated.

• Longitudinal acceleration sender -G251- Integrated.


Steering Angle Sender






1 - Steering angle sender -G85- On the steering column between the steering wheel and the steering column switch
