Handling Refrigerant Safety Precautions

• ELSA contains all safety precautions regarding performing repairs on vehicles with air conditioning and working with refrigerant.

• Information on tools for repairs in vehicles with climate control system can be found in ELSA. Refer to => Refrigerant
R134a.

• If there are unpleasant odors coming from the evaporator, clean it with the Ultrasound A/C Cleaner (VAS 6189A) or with a pressure cup gun (V.A.G 1538). The operating instructions are provided with the tools.

Do not bend or kink A/C lines excessively.

There is a foil inside the refrigerant lines that can be destroyed.

Refrigerant lines must not be bent beyond a radius less than R = 100 mm.
