Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

Handling Refrigerant Safety Precautions

Handling Refrigerant Safety Precautions

ELSA contains all safety precautions regarding performing repairs on vehicles with air conditioning and working with refrigerant.

Information on tools for repairs in vehicles with climate control system can be found in ELSA. Refer to => Refrigerant
R134a.

If there are unpleasant odors coming from the evaporator, clean it with the Ultrasound A/C Cleaner (VAS 6189A) or with a pressure cup gun (V.A.G 1538). The operating instructions are provided with the tools.

Do not bend or kink A/C lines excessively.

There is a foil inside the refrigerant lines that can be destroyed.

Refrigerant lines must not be bent beyond a radius less than R = 100 mm.
