Ignition Coil: Service and Repair






Ignition Coils with Power Output Stage

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Puller for Ignition Coil (T10095 A)

• Assembly Tool (T10118)

Removing






- Remove the ignition coil wiring harness cover strip in the - direction of the arrows -.

- Place the assembly tool (T10118) on the locking button - arrow - and carefully pull the connector up.






- Slide the puller for ignition coil (T10095 A) onto the straight side of the connector in the - direction of the arrow - and pull out the ignition coil with power output stage.






Installing






- Apply a thin bead of special lubricant (G 052 141 A2) around the ignition sealing hose - arrow -. The bead must be 1 to 2 mm thick.

- To install, insert the ignition coil with power output stage into the corresponding spark plug shaft so that the straight sides of the connectors fit with each other - arrows -.

- Slide the puller for ignition coil (T10095 A) onto the straight side of the connector in the - direction of the arrow - and press the ignition coils with power output stage onto the spark plugs.
