Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

The Climatronic control module and the Front A/C display control head are one component that cannot be disassembled.

Reset the "A/C compressor, first break-in" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester under"Guided Functions" if the Climatronic control module was replaced. Refer to => [ Checking and Adjusting Components, Automatic Control System ] Checking and Adjusting Components, Automatic Control System.

Removing

- Disconnect the battery.

- Remove the trim - 1 - with the (3409). Refer to Storage Compartments, Covers and Trim.

- Remove the bolts - 2 - (1.5 Nm).

- Remove the Front A/C display control head and the Climatronic Control Module - 3 - from the center console, and disconnect the connectors on the back side.






Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.

If the Front A/C display control head and the Climatronic control module have been replaced, reset the "A/C compressor first start" function. Refer to => [ Checking and Adjusting Components, Automatic Control System ] Checking and Adjusting Components, Automatic Control System using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in "Guided Functions".

Then "replace the climatronic control module".
