Front Fender: Locations

Fender Insulation Component Locations

• The illustration shows a left fender. The right fender is identical.

• There is a different insulation installed in the fender depending on whether the vehicle has a manual or an automatic transmission.






1 Foam Piece

• Inserted between the fender and the upper front longitudinal member.

2 Fillet Plate Insulation

• Installed in front of the fillet plate on the fender.

3 Filler Piece

• Glued to the A-pillar with butyl rubber

• The filler piece remains attached to the A-pillar when removing the fender.

4 Butyl Rubber

Remove the protective film just before installing.
