Removal and Replacement






Throttle Valve Control Module (J338),

Removing

- Remove the engine cover with air filter. Refer to => [ Engine Cover with Air Filter ] Engine Cover With Air Filter.

- Remove the turbocharger recirculation valve - 1 - with the intermediate flange and remove the hose. Refer to => [ Charge Air Cooler Overview ] Charge Air Cooler Overview.






- Loosen the hose clamp - 1 -.






- Remove the bolt - 2 -.

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Disconnect the connector - 3 -.

- Remove the bolt - 4 -, pull the pipe off the charge air cooler and remove it downward.

- Remove the 4 bolts for the throttle valve control module and remove the throttle valve control module.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the turbocharger recirculation valve. Refer to => [ Charge Air Cooler Overview ] Charge Air Cooler Overview.

- If there is a new throttle valve control module installed, adapt the Engine Control Module (ECM) to the throttle valve control module. Refer to "Guided Functions" in the vehicle diagnostic tester.
