- Remove the wiper arms.

- Remove the seal - 2 - over the entire length of the plenum chamber cover - 1 -.


The window glass could be damaged.

Never use a screwdriver or a wedge or something similar to pry off the plenum chamber cover. The window glass could get damaged and could crack later.

- Lift the plenum chamber cover - 1 - off along the edge of the windshield - 6 - by hand.

- Remove the plenum chamber cover - 1 - from the retainer - 5 - starting at the edge of the windshield - 6 -.

- Remove the plenum chamber cover - 1 - from the vehicle.

Installation


The windshield - 6 - could break.

Using a hammer to install the plenum chamber - 1 - into the binding profile - 5 - on the windshield - 6 - can cause the windshield to crack.






• New windshields have a insert in the binding profile. Remove the insert before installing the plenum chamber cover.

• Press the plenum chamber cover into the retainer lightly by hand. Do not strike it or press on it with a tool.

- Spray the binding profile - 5 - with soap solution so that plenum chamber cover - 1 - can be pressed in more easily.

- Place the plenum chamber covers - 1 - onto the binding profile - 5 - and then clip it with light pressure starting in the center.

- Install the seal - 2 - on the plenum chamber cover - 1 -.

- Install the wiper arms.
