Variable Valve Timing Actuator: Service and Repair

Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

• Open End Spanner Insert AF 10 (V.A.G 1783/1)

Removing

- Remove the charge air pipe from the noise generator, if equipped.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 - from the camshaft adjustment valve 1.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove camshaft adjustment valve 1.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following:

- Lubricate the seal and O-ring with engine oil.
