Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module (J764)

Follow the procedure in the Repair Information when disconnecting and connecting the battery. Refer to => [ Steering Column Switch Components, Removal and Installation Sequence ] Steering Column Switch Components, Removal and Installation Sequence.

• Code the new electronic steering column lock control module after installing. Refer to => [ Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module (J764), With KESSY, Coding ] Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module (J764), With KESSY, Coding.

• The electronic steering column lock control module and the steering column switch mount are removed and installed together.

Removing

- Disconnect the battery. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the steering column switch mount. Refer to => [ Steering Column Switch Mount, Valeo ] Steering Column Switch Mount, Valeo or => [ Steering Column Switch Mount, Kostal ] Steering Column Switch Mount, Kostal.

Installing

- Install together with the steering column switch mount. Refer to => [ Steering Column Switch Mount, Valeo ] Steering Column Switch Mount, Valeo or => [ Steering Column Switch Mount, Kostal ] Steering Column Switch Mount, Kostal.
