DTC 232

EAY. Code 2-3-2

2-3-2 Vehicle speed signal absent

DTC information

Conditions for DTC

The combined instrument supplies vehicle speed information to the transmission control module TCM. The signal is a variable-frequency uniform square wave where the frequency increases as the road speed increases. The TCM uses the signal to determine whether the transmission changes gear at the proper speeds. The TCM also uses the RPM sensor sensor to determine vehicle speed. If the TCM registers an excessive deviation in the vehicle speed signal from the combined instrument compared to the TCM calculated speed, DTC 2-3-2 is set.

Substitution value
