C9 Checking Ignition Supply (15)

C9 Checking ignition supply (15) to central locking relay




Switch ignition off.




Connect a voltmeter between position 15 on relay base D and position 31 on relay base N.
Voltmeter should read approx. 0 Volt.




Switch ignition on.




Connect a voltmeter between position 15 on relay base D and position 31 on relay base N.
Voltmeter should read battery voltage.

If both readings are correct: Go to C10. C10 Checking M- Lead to Central Locking Motors

If either reading is incorrect:
Open-circuit or short-circuit to ground in supply lead between relay base position 15 and passenger compartment fusebox position 11C/11:2 to fuse 11.

Correct fault or replace ignition supply lead to central locking relay.
Replace central locking relay D/G and driver's door relay N.
