Lift up the suspension with a jack 998 5972 JACK 998 5972 Jack to its normal position.
Normal position for the rear suspension is when the distance from the wheel arches to the center of the wheel is as specified below.





Normal position
- V70 2000: 394 mm
- V70 AWD: 418 mm
- V70 XC: 432 mm
- S60: 373 mm
- S80: 380 mm
Tighten loose fasteners to the specified torque.
