Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Removal

Removing the window regulator mechanism, front door





Remove:
- the window of the front door as described in Window, front door. Service and Repair
- the electric motor for the front door window regulator as described in Electric motor, lift mechanism, front door Service and Repair
- the door mirror. See: Rear view mirror external Rear View Mirror External
- the guide strip of the front regulator rail
- 2 M8 nuts and 1 M6 nut.
Release the catches of the cable housing and insert it in the door.




Angle out the rear regulator rail (1), the cable housing and cables (2) plus the front regulator rail (3) through the opening in the door.

Installation

Installing the window regulator mechanism, front door

Install:
- the regulator mechanism with cable housing
- the guide strip of the front regulator rail
- the electric motor for the front door window regulator as described in Electric motor, lift mechanism, front door Service and Repair
- the door mirror as described in Rear view mirror external Rear View Mirror External
- the window of the front door (2 screws) as described in Window, front door. Service and Repair.
Adjust the front window as described in Window, side door, adjustment Window, Side Door, Adjustment.
Initiate the window regulator.
