Steering column

Operation number: 64134-2

Note! Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.

Removal

Note! Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Warning! The steering column can contain pyrotechnic components.

Note! Make sure that the road wheels are in the straight ahead position.

Disconnect the battery ground cable. Battery Disconnecting





Remove the steering wheel module.





Warning! Make sure a new steering column flexible coupling bolt is installed.

Torque: steering column to steering gear (steering shaft joint), 25 Nm








Torque: Steering column to dashboard, 24 Nm





Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure

Order applicable software for the steering lock. Programming and Relearning
