Motor windshield wiper, replacing

Removal

Preparations
- Check that the wiper motor is in the parked position. Switch on the ignition. Switch the wipers on and off
- Switch off the ignition.

Windshield wiper motor




- Remove the wiper arms. See Wiper arm / blade windshield, replacing Wiper Arm/Blade, Windshield, Replacing
- Remove the wiper mechanism. See Wiper mechanism windshield, replacing Wiper Mechanism, Windshield, Replacing
- Remove the upper control arm from the ball. Use a wrench
- Remove the lower control arm. Use a wrench
- Remove the 3 screws from the windshield wiper motor.

Installation

- Lubricate the ball on the link arm using grease
- Install the 3 screws for the windshield wiper motor
- Position a wrench as support between the link arm and the bracket and screw head. See illustration
- Position the control arm on the ball. Carefully tap the control arm into place. Use a sleeve and a mallet
- Install the wiper arm mechanism. See Wiper mechanism windshield, replacing Wiper Mechanism, Windshield, Replacing
- Install the wiper arms. See Wiper arm / blade windshield, replacing Wiper Arm/Blade, Windshield, Replacing.
