Checking The Supply Voltage/Ground Terminal, Rear Seat Entertainment Module (RSE)
Checking the supply voltage/ground terminal
Power supply, rear seat entertainment module (RSE)
The Rear seat entertainment module (RSE) is supplied with voltage via a voltage input on the control module.
Power input #C1:7 is +30 supplied from the battery via a fuse in the engine compartment's relay and fuse box and a fuse in the Central electronic module (CEM).
Checking the power supply
Check the power supply cable from the battery to Rear seat entertainment module (RSE) terminal #C1:7. Check for an open-circuit. Check for loose connections, contact resistance and oxidation. Also check the fuses. The voltage must be approximately battery voltage.
Ground terminal, rear seat entertainment module (RSE)
Rear seat entertainment module (RSE) has a ground input. The ground input from the control module is connected via a ground lead to the ground terminal in the car body. See the relevant wiring diagram for further information about the ground terminal.
- Ground input #C1: 14 is power ground and is connected to the ground terminal in the body frame.
Checking the ground terminal
Check the ground cable between Rear seat entertainment module (RSE) terminal #C1:14 and a ground terminal. Check for an open-circuit, loose connections, contact resistance and oxidation. With the engine idling, the drop in voltage between the ground connection for Rear seat entertainment module (RSE) and the ground terminal must not be greater than 0.5 V.
Remedy as necessary.
