Climate control module (CCM), replacing

The illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and/or models. Some variation may occur. However, the essential information is always correct.

Preparations





Note! Read out the programmed data before replacing the climate control module. This is done in VIDA vehicle communication.After replacing the climate control module (CCM), the relevant parameters must be programmed.

Move the gear selector/gear selector lever to the rearmost position.
Ignition off.
Remove the key. The key must be removed to ensure that the ignition is not switched on by mistake.

Warning! After the key has been removed wait three minutes before starting work.

Removing the climate control module (CCM)




Detach the panel at the gear selector lever as illustrated.
Twist the panel so that it is as far from the centre console as possible.




Remove the lower screws from the bracket.
Angle out the entire infotainment control module (ICM) and the dashboard environment panel as illustrated.




Disconnect the connectors.
Turn the infotainment module with the dashboard environment panel.
Remove the four screws as illustrated.




Press the four clips and remove the infotainment control module by pulling it straight out as illustrated.




Slacken off the two screws at the lower edge of the dashboard environment panel.
Pull the dashboard environment panel straight out from the bracket.

Installing the climate control module (CCM)





Install:
- the dashboard environment panel using the two screws
- the infotainment panel so that it hooks into the dashboard environment panel.
Screw the infotainment panel into place using the four screws.
Connect the connectors.
Angle in the upper section of the infotainment control module first. Then screw the lower edge into place using the two lower screws.

Front panel, replacing

Removing the front panel




Release the catches. Pull off the front panel.
The front panel has double-sided adhesive tape. Ensure that any remains of the tape are removed from the black panel.

Installing the front panel
Remove the backing paper from the tape for the front panel.
Press the front panel into place.

Ordering software for the climate control module (CCM)
Order the software.

Finishing

After replacing the climate control module (CCM), the following must be carried out:
- Reprogram the customer programmed data
- Carry out self-adjustment of the damper motors' end positions. This is done in VIDA vehicle communication.
Test drive the car. Check that the engine and climate control system are functioning.
