Fuel Filter: Description and Operation
Fuel Filter:
PURPOSE The
fuel filter traps microscopic particles to prevent damage to fuel delivery and engine components.
OPERATION Fuel supplied under pressure from the fuel pump passes through the filter element, trapping small contaminants.
CONSTRUCTION The
Fuel Filter uses a paper element to trap contaminants before they can reach the fuel injectors.
