Front Door Window Regulator: Adjustments

Glass Adjustment

NOTE: Place the vehicle on a firm, level surface when adjusting the glass. Check the weatherstrips and glass run channel for damage or deterioration, and replace them if necessary.


1. Remove door panel and plastic cover






2. Make sure the guide pin is installed in the rear channel guide properly.

3. Raise the glass.


4. Loosen the glass mounting bolts and regulator mounting bolts.






5. Push the glass rearward.


6. Tighten the glass mounting bolts and regulator mounting bolts.

7. Loosen the front channel mounting bolts.


8. Lower the glass.


9. Push the front channel against the glass, then tighten the mounting bolts.






10. Check that the glass moves smoothly.


11. Raise the glass fully and check for gaps.


12. Check the glass operation.


NOTE: Check that the glass contacts the glass run channel evenly.






13. Check for water leaks.


Spray water over the roof and on the sealing area as shown.


NOTE: Adjust the water pressure as shown. Do not squeeze the tip of the hose.






14. Attach the plastic cover, then install the door panel.
