Blinking Pattern

From zero to about 6000 miles, the reminder lamp does not come on. From about 6000 to 7500 miles, the lamp blinks for ten seconds when the ignition switch is turned to the "ON" position. After 7500 miles, the lamp comes on continuously for ten seconds when the ignition switch is turned to the "ON" position.

NOTE:
If the light does not blink, or does not come on, check the bulb and the speedometer operation. If the bulb and the speedometer are correct, then the gauge internal circuits must be faulty.
