Sunroof / Moonroof Module: Testing and Inspection

Control Unit Input Test

1. Remove the right rear pillar trim.




2. Disconnect the moonroof harness 3P connector from the right side wire harness.




3. Make the following input tests at the right side wire harness 3P connector.
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, go to step 4.

4. Connect the moonroof 3P connector to the right side wire harness.




5. Disconnect the 10P connector from the control unit.







6. Make the following input tests at the 10P connector.
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, the control unit must be faulty; replace it.




NOTE: The limit switches are switched in the moonroof positions as shown.

The moonroof stops automatically only when moving from open to closed when the limit switch 3 is turned ON.
