Wiper Arm: Service and Repair

Windshield Wiper Arms / Windshield Wiper Linkage

Removal

CAUTION: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

NOTE: Take care not to scratch the hood and body.




1. Remove the windshield wiper arms, then remove the hood seal and cowl cover.
2. Remove the strut brace.




3. Remove the control box cover, then remove the dashboard upper center reinforcement.




4. Disconnect the connector, detach the harness clip, then remove the windshield wiper linkage assembly.
5. Separate the windshield wiper linkage and windshield wiper motor.






NOTE: When installing, align the alignment marks on the link and windshield wiper linkage.

6. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

NOTE:
- Make sure the connector is connected properly.
- If necessary, replace any damaged clips.
- Install the windshield wiper arms properly as described
- Check the windshield wiper motor operation.
- Grease the moving parts.
