ECPS Indicator Comes On Revving the Engine While Stopped

If you hold the engine speed around 2,100 rpm in a '05-06 RL for more than 30 seconds with the vehicle stopped, the electronically controlled power steering (FCPS) indicator comes on. You also see a CHECK POWER STEERING message in the MID. This is a normal characteristic of the vehicle; there's nothing that needs fixing. To reset the system, just turn off the engine and start it up again.
