Control Unit Removal/Installation

Control Unit Removal/Installation

1. Remove the center console.
2. Remove the rear blower motor.
3. Loosen the bolts that secure the OnStar control unit and bracket (E) to the shift lever base assembly, then slide the control unit and bracket forward to remove it.




4. Disconnect the 22P and 16P connector (A), the antenna lead 2P connector (B), and the antenna lead 1P connector (C) from the OnStar control unit (D).
5. Remove the bracket from the control unit.
6. Install the control unit in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: Replacement units are in the Shipping Mode and will need to be switched to Market Mode.
