Starter Removal and InstallationRemoval
1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio and the navigation system, then write down the customer's audio presets.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery first, then disconnect the positive cable.
3. Remove the intake manifold.
4. Disconnect the starter cable (A) from the B terminal, then disconnect the BLK/WHT wire (B) from the S terminal.
5. Remove the harness clamp (C).
6. Remove the harness holder (D).
7. Remove the two bolts holding the starter, then remove the starter.
Installation
1. Install the starter. Make sure the crimped side of the ring terminal is facing out.
2. Connect the starter cable (A) to the B terminal, then connect the BLK/WHT (B) to the S terminal.
3. Install the harness holder(C).
4. Install the harness clamp (D).
5. Install the intake manifold, 2004-2005 models, 2006 model.
6. Connect the positive cable to the battery first, then connect the negative cable.
7. Start the engine to make sure the starter works properly.
8. Enter the anti-theft code for the radio and the navigation system, then enter the customer's audio presets.
9. Do the power window control unit reset procedure.
10. Set the clock.
