Back-up Light Switch Test





1. Disconnect the back-up light switch connector.
2. Check for continuity between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals of the back-up light switch. There should be continuity when the shift lever is in reverse.





3. If necessary, replace the back-up light switch. Apply liquid gasket (P/N 08718-0002) (A) to the threads of the switch, and a 2 mm (0.079 inch) bead around the contact surface. Install the back-up light switch on the clutch housing.

NOTE: If 4 minutes have passed after applying liquid gasket, reapply it.
