Roll Rate Sensor Replacement

Removal

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, Procedures then wait for 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Disconnect both side curtain airbag 2P connectors. Service and Repair

3. Remove the second row seat. Second Row Seat Removal/Installation

4. Lift the carpet as needed to access the roll rate sensor.

5. Disconnect the floor wire harness 2P connector (A) from the roll rate sensor.

6. Using a TORX T30 bit, remove the TORX bolt (B) then remove the roll rate sensor (C).






Installation

1. Install the new roll rate sensor with the TORX bolts (A) then connect the floor wire harness 2P connector (B) to the roll rate sensor (C).

2. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure. Procedures

3. Reinstall all removed parts.

4. After installing the roll rate sensor, confirm proper system operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II); the SRS indicator should come on for about 6 seconds and then go off.
