AcuraLink Control Unit-XM Receiver Removal/Installation

With AcuraLink

NOTE: The AcuraLink must be reactivated by Acura Client Services when:

- The AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) is replaced.
- DATA RESET was selected while in the self-diagnostic function.
- Vehicle ownership changes.

1. Remove the door sill and the right kick panel Service and Repair.

2. Remove the glove box Glove Box Removal/Installation.

3. Remove the passenger's dashboard undercover Passenger's Dashboard Undercover Removal/Installation.

4. Remove the bolt (A) and loosen the bolt (B) from the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) (C).





5. Disconnect the connectors (D).

6. Release the AM/FM/XM antenna lead from its holder.

7. Lower the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) through the footwell area.

8. Install the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) in the reverse order of removal.

If you replaced the AcuraLink control unit, make sure it has the latest software AcuraLink Control Unit Update.
