Vent Air Temperature Sensor Test

1. Remove the driver's vent air temperature sensor Driver's Vent Air Temperature Sensor Replacement or the passenger's vent air temperature sensor. Passenger's Vent Air Temperature Sensor Replacement

2. Check for a change in resistance by heating the sensor with a hair dryer or cooling the sensor in a cool cup of water.

3. Compare the resistance reading between terminals No. 1 and No. 2 of the vent air temperature sensor with the specifications shown in the graph; the resistance should be within the specifications.

4. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the driver's vent air temperature sensor Driver's Vent Air Temperature Sensor Replacement or the passenger's vent air temperature sensor. Passenger's Vent Air Temperature Sensor Replacement
