Tightening Torque

Cylinder head bolts





Measure the diameter of each cylinder head bolt at point A and point B.
If either diameter is less than 10.6 mm (0.42 in), replace the cylinder head bolt





Step 1 39 N-m (4.0 kgf-m, 29 lbf-ft)
Step 2 90°
Step 3 90°
If you are using a new cylinder head bolt, tighten the bolt an extra 90°.

Camshaft bearing cap





8 x 1.25 mm 22 N-m (2.2 kgf-m, 16 lbf-ft)
6 x 1.0 mm 12 N-m (1.2 kgf-m, 8.7 lbf-ft)
6 x 1.0 mm Bolts: 21, 22, 23
