Speedometer Does Not Work




Speedometer does not work

Diagnostic Procedure:

1. F-CAN communication line error

2. Gauge control module defective

3. PCM defective

4. Output shaft (countershaft) speed sensor defective

Also check for:

- Check the F-CAN communication line for a DTC. F-CAN Circuit Troubleshooting
- Check the F-CAN communication line by using the gauge control module self-diagnostic function. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
- Check the speedometer drive circuit in the gauge control module using the HDS.
- Check for a stored DTC, and check for loose connectors.
- Inspect the transmission range switch operation.
- Check the output shaft (countershaft) speed sensor installation.
