Electrical Compass Center Information Display Input Test

1. Remove the center upper panel Dashboard Center Upper Panel Removal/Installation.

2. Remove the dashboard center panel Dashboard Center Panel Removal/Installation.

3. Remove the four screws, and the center information display (A).





4. Disconnect the 12P connector (B) from the center information display.

5. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.

- If the terminals are bent, loose, or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminals look OK, go to step 6.

6. Reconnect the connector to the center information display, turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and do the following input tests:

- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all input tests prove OK, the center information display must be faulty; replace it.
