Front Door Window Glass Weatherstrip: Service and Repair




Front Door Glass Outer Weatherstrip Replacement

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the door.
- Take care not to damage the rear hook in the weatherstrip because it is not available separately.

1. Remove these items:

- Door panel Front Door Panel Removal/Installation
- Door panel bracket
- Plastic cover, as needed
- Power mirror Power Mirror Replacement

2. From the inside of the door, slide the clips (A) on the door glass outer weatherstrip (B) to release the hooks (C) from the flanges (D) on the door.






3. Push the rear hook (A) with a flat-tip screwdriver from inside of the door, and pull up the door glass outer weatherstrip (B), then remove the weatherstrip.





4. Before installing the weatherstrip, slide the clips to the released position as in step 2.

5. Install the weatherstrip, and slide the clips securely on to the flanges.

6. Reinstall all removed parts, and note these items:

- When reinstalling the door panel, make sure the plastic cover on the door is installed properly and sealed around its outside perimeter to seal out water.
- Check for water leaks.
