Hood Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Testing and Inspection

Security Hood Switch Test

1. Open the hood then remove the bulkhead cover Front Bulkhead Cover Replacement.

2. Remove the cover (A), and disconnect the 2P connector (B) from the security hood switch (C).





3. Check for continuity between the terminals.

- There should be continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 2 when the hood is opened (latch released).
- There should be no continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 2 when the hood is closed (latch pushed down).

4. If the continuity is not as specified, the switch is faulty; replace the hood latch assembly Service and Repair.
