Power Tailgate Sensor Replacement

Removal

1. Remove the power tailgate drive unit Service and Repair.

2. Separate the power tailgate sensor 8P connector (A), and remove the three screws (B) and power tailgate sensor (C).






3. Record the power tailgate sensor connector terminals location and the wire harness color.

4. Disassemble the power tailgate sensor B (8P) (A) remove the two terminals (B) from the connector.

NOTE: The connector is a part of the power tailgate sensor.






Installation

5. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

6. Insert the new terminals into the connector in the original arrangement.
