Shift Interlock Switch: Testing and Inspection

Park Pin Switch Test

1. Remove the center console panel Center Console Panel Removal/Installation.

2. Disconnect the 6P connector (A) from the A/T shift lock solenoid/park pin switch/A/T gear position indicator panel light connector (B).





3. Check for continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 2.

- There should be continuity when the shift lever is moved out of P.
- There should be no continuity when the shift lever is moved to P.

4. If the continuity is not as specified, check the shift cable adjustment Adjustments. If the cable adjustment is OK, replace the park pin switch Shift Lock Solenoid Test.
