Seat Temperature Element: Testing and Inspection

Seat Heater Test

NOTE: SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations, and precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or servicing.

Driver's Seat

1. Remove the driver's seat Front Seat Removal / Installation.

2. Remove the back cover for seat-back heater Service and Repair.

3. Disconnect the 3P connector (A) and 2P connector (B) from the seat heater.









4. Check for continuity between seat-back heater 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be continuity.

5. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater 3P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2, and between terminals No. 1 and No. 3. There should be continuity.

6. If the there is no continuity, replace the appropriate seat heater.

Front Passenger's Seat

1. Remove the passenger's seat Front Seat Removal / Installation.

2. Disconnect the 4P connector (A) from the seat heater.





3. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater 4P connector terminals No. 2 and No. 4, and terminals No. 2 and No. 3. There should be continuity.

4. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat heater.
