Two types of speed transmitters were installed for cruise control systems in 1984 5000 S vehicles.
^ Induction type: Part no. 443 907 345
^ Hall-effect type: Part no. 443 907 345A
The two versions of speed transmitters are interchangeable, however only the Hall-effect type will be supplied as a replacement part.
Note
Hall-effect transmitters have an extra red lead which must be connected to 10 volt positive (+) terminal of fuel gauge.
