Fig. 11 Idle/Full Throttle Switch:

1. Remove the throttle housing assembly from the intake manifold.
2. Check to make sure that the basic throttle adjustment is correct.
3. Connect an ohmmeter to terminals 1 and 2 of the throttle switch. Idle switch should be closed (0 ohms).
4. Move the throttle lever slightly. The switch should open (infinite ohms).
5. Insert a 0.1 mm (0.004 in) feeler gauge between the throttle lever and the throttle stop screw.
6. Loosen the throttle switch mounting screws, and turn the switch assembly clockwise as far as possible.
7. Slowly turn the switch back until it closes, and the ohmmeter shows continuity (0 ohms).
8. Tighten the mounting screws and repeat the test.
9. If the switch does not operate properly after adjustment, replace it.
