Barometric Pressure Sensor: Description and Operation

The altitude sensor sends a voltage signal to the Injection, and Ignition Control Computers that varies depending on the altitude, or barometric pressure, Fig. 14. This information is used to correct the fuel mixture during warm-up and full throttle enrichment, and the ignition timing during certain engine loads, at various altitudes. The altitude sensor is located by the ignition control unit behind the left kick panel.
