Programmer

Operation and Location
The programmer is located under the dashboard behind the glove box. It receives signals from the control head and operates accordingly.

The unit contains four vacuum solenoids which operate vacuum servos for air distribution and the heater valve. A DC electric motor is used to control interior temperature. It regulates the position of the heater regulation flaps via a bowden cable.

Based on the input signal it receives from the control panel head, the programmer will also switch on the A/C compressor clutch relay. On 5000S models, it also activates the radiator fan on 1st speed when the A/C is turned on.
